Job summary

Jabil in Prince George, VA is hiring a Quality Systems Engineer to build and lead the QMS for a startup manufacturing site, aligning with ISO9001:2015 and Jabil standards. The role requires defining the quality policy, driving corrective actions, and coordinating across engineering and operations to achieve rapid, scalable quality processes.

You will coordinate internal and supplier audits, manage documentation, and foster a proactive quality culture with site leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Quality discipline.
• 5-8 years in Quality Engineering or Quality Systems; at least 2-3 years in leading QMS.
• Strong expertise in ISO9001:2015 implementation and certification maintenance.
• Proven experience with internal and supplier audits.
• Data-driven mindset; Excel/Sheets mastery; BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau) preferred.
• Certifications (preferred): CQE, CQA, Lead Auditor, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.

Responsibilities

• Establish a QMS foundation aligned with ISO9001:2015 and Jabil standards.
• Own the Quality Policy and measurable quality objectives; monitor performance and implement corrective actions.
• Lead Management Review processes with data-driven decision-making.
• Must have QMS building experience in a startup environment, leading or co-leading.
• Audit planning and execution across engineering, operations, product management, and supplier interfaces.
• Liaise with external auditors, certification bodies, and regulatory partners.
• Track and close nonconformities, implement risk mitigations, and document controls.
• Champion structured problem-solving using 8D, RCA, FMEA, DMAIC or equivalent.
• Document lifecycle management for QMS documentation, SOPs, and records.
• Collaborate with system owners to ensure traceability and version control of documents.
