Job summary

Viaflex in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a quality control support role focused on collecting samples, inspecting materials, and assisting QA with daily tasks to ensure conformance to specifications. The position emphasizes accuracy, safe practices, and collaborative teamwork.

Responsibilities include reporting defects, handling incoming materials, maintaining documentation, and supporting testing of raw materials and finished products.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; quality experience preferred but not required.
• Experience in a production environment is beneficial.
• Ability to read blueprints and work instructions; maintain accurate records.
• Proficient with a computer and basic software tools.
• Strong teamwork and self-motivation with minimal supervision.

• Seal and manage disposal/logistics of full gaylords and request replacements.
• Replenish production, QA, and other consumable bins as needed.
• Assist with dispositioning of material and maintaining quality docs.
• Support testing of materials to order specifications.
• Contribute to department improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety standards.

Job description

Summary

Collection, inspect, test, and audit materials, processes, or products to ensure conformance. Support quality control functions for the company

Essential Functions

• Collect and deliver product samples from production to QA.
• Identify and report defects or non-conformances pertaining to the production lines / material to the QA lab
• Sealing up gaylords and requesting new gaylords be delivered when full
• Replenish Production, QA and other consumable bins when needed
• Assist with the dispositioning of material.
• Assist with maintaining quality management documentation.
• Assist with verification and/or testing of raw materials and finished products to order and required specifications.
• Contribute to department improvement initiatives.
• May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assistance in other areas as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow established safety and ergonomics standards.
• Demonstrates Viaflex Team Member Values in their daily actions.
• Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent education. Previous Quality experience is preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Experience in a production environment is beneficial. Ability to read blueprints and work instructions and maintain accurate records. Proficiency with a computer. Team player who is self-motivated and has ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work at a fast pace efficiently. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.

The position will require entering a production environment, including exposure to noise, fumes, moving machinery, and varying temperatures.
