Job summary

Viaflex seeks detail-oriented QA associate to collect samples, inspect materials, report defects, and support production QA.

You will seal gaylords, replenish bins, and assist with material dispositioning while maintaining quality documents and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; quality experience preferred but not required.
• Experience in a production environment is beneficial; reading blueprints and following work instructions is important.
• Proficiency with a computer and ability to maintain accurate records; strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver product samples from production to QA.
• Identify and report defects or non-conformances to the QA lab.
• Seal up gaylords and arrange for replacement when full.
• Replenish production, QA and other consumable bins as needed.
• Assist with dispositioning of material and with QA processes.
• Maintain quality management documentation and records.
• Verify and/or test raw materials and finished products to order and specs.
• Contribute to department improvement initiatives and ongoing quality efforts.
• Perform related duties as needed and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Demonstrate Viaflex Team Member Values in daily actions and adhere to safety standards.
• Support continuous learning and ISO quality management system improvements.

Summary

Collection, inspect, test, and audit materials, processes, or products to ensure conformance. Support quality control functions for the company

Essential Functions

• Collect and deliver product samples from production to QA.
• Identify and report defects or non-conformances pertaining to the production lines / material to the QA lab
• Sealing up gaylords and requesting new gaylords be delivered when full
• Replenish Production, QA and other consumable bins when needed
• Assist with the dispositioning of material.
• Assist with maintaining quality management documentation.
• Assist with verification and/or testing of raw materials and finished products to order and required specifications.
• Contribute to department improvement initiatives.
• May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assistance in other areas as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow established safety and ergonomics standards.
• Demonstrates Viaflex Team Member Values in their daily actions.
• Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent education. Previous Quality experience is preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Experience in a production environment is beneficial. Ability to read blueprints and work instructions and maintain accurate records. Proficiency with a computer. Team player who is self-motivated and has ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work at a fast pace efficiently. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:

Physical Requirements: Required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Working Conditions: Exposure to a normal office environment. The position will require entering a production environment, including exposure to noise, fumes, moving machinery, and varying temperatures.
