Job summary

Viaflex is seeking a dedicated quality inspector to support materials testing and QA in a production environment. You will collect product samples, inspect for defects, and report non-conformances to QA, while helping maintain ISO-compliant documentation and processes.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision are important. High school diploma or equivalent is required, and prior production QA experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; QA experience preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints and following work instructions.
• Ability to operate computers and maintain records accurately.

Summary

Collection, inspect, test, and audit materials, processes, or products to ensure conformance. Support quality control functions for the company

Essential Functions

• Collect and deliver product samples from production to QA.
• Identify and report defects or non-conformances pertaining to the production lines / material to the QA lab
• Sealing up gaylords and requesting new gaylords be delivered when full
• Replenish Production, QA and other consumable bins when needed
• Assist with the dispositioning of material.
• Assist with maintaining quality management documentation.
• Assist with verification and/or testing of raw materials and finished products to order and required specifications.
• May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assistance in other areas as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow established safety and ergonomics standards.
• Demonstrates Viaflex Team Member Values in their daily actions.
• Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent education. Previous Quality experience is preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Experience in a production environment is beneficial. Ability to read blueprints and work instructions and maintain accurate records. Proficiency with a computer. Team player who is self-motivated and has ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work at a fast pace efficiently. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.

Physical Requirements: Required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Working Conditions: Exposure to a normal office environment. The position will require entering a production environment, including exposure to noise, fumes, moving machinery, and varying temperatures.
