Job summary

Viaflex is seeking motivated individuals to operate various large production machines in a manufacturing environment. You will work with extrusion, laminator, tarp, and other equipment, loading/unloading materials and packaging for shipment while maintaining safety practices.

This role emphasizes learning to set up and operate large machinery, with attention to accurate records, basic math, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous machine operation experience preferred, but not required.
• Aptitude to learn mechanical skills and operate large machinery.
• Team player who is self-motivated and can work with minimal supervision.
• Basic math skills and the ability to read blueprints/work instructions.
• Proficient with a computer and able to maintain accurate records.
• Strong communication with team members and leadership.
• Ability to stand for long periods and operate forklift/pallet movers.

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of large production machines (extrusion, laminator, tarp machine, winder, seal cart).
• Load and unload material during the production run.
• Package material for shipment by cutting, wrapping, palletizing, banding, labeling, etc.
• Monitor material and machine conditions.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area with general housekeeping.
• Learn how to set up and operate large machines.

Summary

Operate various types of large machines in a production environment to produce a product. Types of machines are (but are not limited to) extrusion, laminator, tarp machine, winder, seal cart, etc.

Essential Functions

• Load and unload material throughout the production run.
• Package material for shipment by cutting, wrapping, palletizing, banding, labeling, etc.
• Monitor material and machine conditions.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area by completing general housekeeping tasks.
• Learn how to set up and operate large machines.
