Job summary

Dakkota Integrated Systems in Michigan seeks a strategic Quality / Supplier Manager - Corporate to drive supplier quality performance and continuous improvement across the organization.

You will monitor customer and supplier quality metrics, lead problem-solving efforts, and ensure APQP/PPAP compliance. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or related field and at least 5 years in quality within a Tier 1 automotive environment, plus 3 years of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering and Supplier Quality in a Tier 1 automotive environment.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience within quality.
• Strong knowledge of AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
• Experience with supplier development, launch support, and performance monitoring.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality tools such as Minitab.
• Technical knowledge of tooling, fixtures, and measurement systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze customer quality performance metrics (PPM, PRR, NCT, warranty) to drive improvements.
• Lead problem-solving activities using data-driven methodologies (8D, root cause analysis, continuous improvement tools).
• Ensure compliance with APQP and PPAP processes across internal teams and suppliers.
• Manage supplier performance, including scorecards, corrective actions, and escalation of issues.
• Develop and report supplier metrics including PPM, delivery, responsiveness, and cost of non-conformance.
• Support new program launches and communicate supplier quality risks to cross-functional teams.
• Conduct audits, support management reviews, and maintain quality reporting systems.

The Role
