Job summary

Hanwha Power is looking for a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer in Jupiter, FL. In this role, you will ensure the quality and reliability of supplier-provided materials and components by implementing supplier quality management processes.

Your responsibilities will include developing quality improvements, reviewing documentation, and leading improvement activities. A Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required along with 5+ years of experience in quality systems.

Qualifications

POSITION: Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

LOCATION: Jupiter, FL

JOB SUMMARY

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will ensure the quality and reliability of supplier-provided materials and components by establishing, implementing, and maintaining effective supplier quality management processes. You will work closely with suppliers and internal cross‑functional teams—including engineering, procurement, and manufacturing—to drive continuous improvement, and resolve quality issues. This role is critical to maintaining high quality standards, reducing risk, and improving overall supplier performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Review and maintain relevant quality procedures and requirements within the Quality Management system.
• Continuously drive improvements in internal business processes using appropriate Quality concepts and tools to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of the processes.
• Review and maintain quality system documents to ensure documents are up to date and appropriate for the applicable processes.
• Develop and implement Quality improvements with suppliers and the PSM workshop to achieve high process and product conformance rates.
• Create inspection & test plans for engine hardware in PSM’S internal inspection database.
• Perform statistical analyses of inspection results for new manufacture, reconditioning and over‑inspection processes and assist in using results to drive Quality improvements.
• Input and extract data to prepare and generate departmental Quality metrics.
• Review and approve Reconditioning Assessment and Final Acceptance customer reports.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis and process improvement activities using six‑sigma, lean, 8D, Measurement System Analysis and other statistical tools as required.
• Assist in updating the calibration database as required, providing dispositions and corrective action on failing inspection equipment as needed.
• Review and approve Acceptance Data Packages (ADPs) for supplier provided material & services. Work in conjunction with purchasing and engineering to resolve issues as required.
• Ability to travel 35% of the time.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education & Training

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
• Experience with Quality Management software and SAP is strongly preferred Internal.
• Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM’s EHS Training Matrix

Skills/Experience

• 5+ years of experience in industry preferred, with specific skills related to quality systems and documentation.
• Experience in quality systems with prior experience working under formal environments such as ISO 9001, AS9100, NADCAP or other quality programs.
• Must have strong quality and customer focus.
• ASQ certification is preferred.
• ISO Internal Auditor Certification is preferred.
• Experience with Quality Management Software, SAP, Minitab statistical software preferred.
• Experience in disposition of non‑conforming products.
• Effective strong communication skills, written, oral, listening, technical writing.
• Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration.
• Must be self‑motivated and possess a demonstrated ability to handle multiple issues in a responsive and decisive manner.
• Must be a detail‑oriented, high energy, self‑starter with the ability to drive the successful completion of projects within specified time frames.
• Proficiency with MS office Professional (Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint)
• Strong written and oral communication skills required.
