Job summary

OILES in Concord, North Carolina seeks a Quality Control Engineer to lead the development, installation and operation of a proactive quality management system supporting raw materials, in-process and finished products. The role emphasizes quality improvement teams and worldwide supplier collaboration.

The ideal candidate will establish control plans, PFMEAs, supplier PPAP submissions, and rigorous audits. Strong GD&T, Six Sigma and hands-on ISO/IATF experience are preferred to ensure top product

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (or related) with relevant hands-on quality experience.
• Minimum 5 years of quality engineering experience, preferably in automotive.
• ISO/IATF familiarity and hands-on involvement.
• CQE designation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain control plans and PFMEAs with Engineering team.
• Develop gage and tooling strategies; evaluate tooling to improve the program.
• Analyze capability studies and assist in pilot tool builds.
• Lead PFMEA’s for new tools or tooling changes and support APQP.
• Champion PPAP submissions and support 8-D problem solving.
• Conduct supplier surveillance, audits, and corrective actions.
• Develop and implement gauging programs and training for inspectors.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
