Job summary

Oerlikon is seeking a Quality Engineer for our Huntersville facility to review requirements, develop inspection plans, and verify conformance to standards. You will drive root cause analysis, audits, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing setting.

The role requires a 4-year degree in Quality or Engineering and 4+ years of experience, with AS9100/ISO 9001:2015 knowledge and hands-on metrology (CMM/GOM). GD&T certification preferred and LEAN experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a quality engineering role in manufacturing.
• AS9100/ISO 9001:2015 knowledge and experience.
• Problem-solving using Pareto, SPC, cause-and-effect, and 8D.
• GD&T certification preferred and GD&T hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Review product requirements and CAD drawings for quality requirements.
• Develop and execute inspection plans and verify conformance to standards.
• Prepare data packages and communicate quality topics with customers.
• Lead root cause/corrective action analysis and manage non-conformances.
• Support internal and external audits and implement LEAN improvements.
• Assist in operator training and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
