Job summary

Ardagh Metal Packaging in Chicago seeks a Quality Supervisor to lead daily quality operations on the plant floor and serve as the key backup to the Quality Manager. You will own the frontline quality presence and drive issue resolution in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires lean manufacturing experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to train procedures, perform audits, and coordinate metrology tasks.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or technical equivalent is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in high-speed manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability to manage people in a lean environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communications.
• Ability to relate and communicate across the organization.
• Ability to understand and apply basic statistics and specifications.
• Ability to read, understand and train procedures.
• Limited travel (up to 15%).

Responsibilities

• Main quality presence in the manufacturing area.
• Resolution of daily quality issues and support to the Quality Manager.
• Assist Supervisor with daily product changeovers and equipment adjustments.
• Lead GMP, ISO and SQF compliance activities and audits.
• Coordinate gauge servicing and metrology tasks.
• Enter and track customer complaints; provide root-cause analysis.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and training sessions.
• Prepare for customer and supplier audits; manage audits.
