WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PROCESS ENGINEER

SENIORITY LEVEL: Experienced Non-Management Level
FUNCTION: Operations
LOCATION: Winston-Salem, NC

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

Reports to: Regional Quality Innovations Lead Manage

Number of Direct Reports: N/A

Core Relationships: Internal - Operations, R&D Product Development and Pilot Plant, Supply Chain/Distribution, and Production Planning.

Geographic Scope: Local OR DRBU

Travel Required: 10%

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Review QIE, CoCoE, Quality Triggers
  • Attend SDS/Line DDS meetings
  • Participate in QIE/CoCoE improvement meetings
  • Employee Engagement, 1:1 meetings w/ direct reports, coaching, training
  • Non-conformance Management /Records Management
  • Back up for PQT’s
  • Release product as required
  • Comply with all EHS and FDA requirements.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • BS degree (Entry); or Associate degree with relevant experience (2+ yrs); or High School diploma or equivalent with relevant experience (5+ yrs)
  • Strong Quality background or related field
  • Effectively manage the work of others; strong written and oral communication skills;
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office, quality systems, & computer applications
  • Problem solving, root cause analysis, Plan-Do-Check-Act, CAPA
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal oversight.

BENEFICIAL

  • Willingness to acquire and maintain appropriate quality certifications for role (CQE, CQA, Six Sigma, HACCP auditor, etc)
  • Results oriented
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Knowledge of TPMP regulation
  • Knowledge of tobacco manufacturing processes, food GMP (a plus)
