Summary/Objective:

The Quality supervisor position oversees the quality team members in a manufacturing and assembly environment. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   1. Ensure effective team member relations.
  2. Provide team member coaching and development.
  3. Resolve team member issues through problem resolution.

Working Conditions:

  1. Primarily working indoors, office environment.
  2. May sit for several hours at a time.
  3. Prolonged exposure to computer screens.
  4. Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. 3-5 years of experience in a production environment.
  3. Administration, 6-12 Months.
  4. ISO experience.

Essential Functions:

  1. Makes employment decisions.
  2. Consults with HR as needed.
  3. Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and supplies regular progress reports to manager.
  4. Provide leadership through a 30-day planning cycle.
  5. Aid with accident investigations asneeded.
  6. Manage department priorities.
  7. Track absenteeism and timekeeping.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position manages all team members of the department and handles the performance management and hiring of the team members within that department.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear.This position is regularly active and requires 98% standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching,crawling. The team member may have to lift and/or move items over fifty pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position requires Personal Protective Equipment. Protective Equipment supplied by the company includes: Coating suit, Coating Boots, Spray Socks, Respirator, Work Gloves, Safety Glasses, and Ear Plugs. Team members may be required to provide additional Protective Equipment (Safety Shoes, etc.).

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position and is salaried exempt so your hours andworkdayswill vary depending on workloads. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job dutiesdemand.

Travel:

No travel is expected for this position.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree.
  2. Previous quality management experience.
  3. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  4. Strong organization and time management skills preferred.
  5. Public speaking ability preferred.
