Job Description
Maintain the safety, security, growth, and profitability of the DC by assisting personnel in the day-to-day functions of the operation. Train and direct employees to ensure that facility Loss Prevention & Safety objectives are met.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Open/Close the building each day, including maintaining building alarms, badge access systems, and CCTV surveillance equipment.
- Conduct safety-related training, including orientations and equipment safety training.
- Ensure compliance with CTPAT guidelines and regulations.
- Investigate workplace accidents and injuries to determine root causes.
- Conduct internal and external safety and security patrols/audits.
- Monitor guard shack activity/incidents.
- Drive departmental productivity and coach Loss Prevention & Safety staff while maintaining high standards for quality.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Lead by example with a strong work ethic, initiative, professionalism, and dependability.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to gather information, critically evaluate options, and develop solutions by seeking alternative perspectives.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Effective coaching skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team, encouraging others to achieve department goals.
- Reliable with excellent attendance record.
- Guitar Center certification to operate powered equipment or willingness to obtain it.
- Willingness to obtain First Responder Certification through American Red Cross.
- Positive attitude and support for departmental initiatives and company goals.
