QUALITY SUPERVISOR
WENTZVILLE, MO - PLANT

As a member of the Quality team, the Quality Supervisor will coordinate and supervise the daily activities of the quality control function on the plant floor, communicate and respond to customer concerns, and assist the quality manager in all plant quality assurance activities. The role involves ensuring products, processes, facilities, and systems meet quality standards, resolving production quality issues, and monitoring scrap at Lear Wentzville.

The Role:

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

1. Supervising quality employees and coordinating inspection and testing activities of components and parts through various assembly stages.
2. Reviewing quality assurance instructions, specifications, and production schedules to determine inspection methods and work assignments.
3. Directing workers in quality assurance inspections to ensure standards are met.
4. Collaborating with quality assurance, production, management, and engineering to resolve work-related issues.
5. Interpreting and enforcing quality procedures and training personnel accordingly.
6. Motivating and developing team members for better performance and responsibility.
7. Troubleshooting quality issues and implementing solutions.
8. Managing quality processes specific to products or lines to ensure consistency, reduce costs, and improve processes.
9. Ensuring compliance with company policies, SOPs, and regulations.
10. Overseeing the quality of materials purchased, processed, and manufactured.
11. Coordinating shift activities with off-shift supervisors.
12. Supervising laboratory personnel and ensuring testing reliability and compliance.
13. Preparing technical reports and analysis documentation.
14. Designing work schedules and daily assignments.
15. Supporting customer repair issues and continuous improvement initiatives.
16. Developing and implementing quality documents and support processes such as FMEAs and process flows.
17. Maintaining professional relationships with customer assembly plants and providing process knowledge.
18. Supporting pre-production, launch, and production activities at customer plants.
19. Supporting warranty, JD Power activities, and the PTR process.
20. Investigating customer concerns and managing containment of parts at customer sites.

Your Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing quality experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends, holidays, and shifts.
• Willingness to travel between plant and customer locations.
