Job summary

Colt is seeking a Quality Supervisor to lead receiving inspection activities in a precision manufacturing environment. You will drive inspection quality, ensure process discipline, and collaborate with Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations to resolve quality concerns.

This role requires experience in regulated manufacturing, blueprint interpretation, and implementing corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading or supervising quality inspection activities within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working within regulated or quality-driven manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency in blueprint interpretation and dimensional inspection techniques.
  • Experience supporting root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems such as AS9100 and ISO 9001.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively coach, develop, and support employee growth.
  • Experience collaborating with manufacturing, engineering, and supplier quality teams.

  • Communicate quality expectations, priorities, and performance metrics effectively across teams.
  • Promote a culture of quality, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Quality Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Supervisor to lead receiving inspection activities within a precision manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving inspection quality, process consistency, workflow efficiency, employee development, and accountability across inspection operations.

The Quality Supervisor will provide leadership to inspection personnel, partner closely with Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations teams, and ensure incoming material inspections are completed accurately and efficiently. This position plays a key role in maintaining product quality standards while supporting operational performance and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Experience implementing process improvements and standard work practices.
  • Experience supporting receiving inspection, in-process inspection, or supplier quality activities.
  • Ability to drive consistency, accountability, and operational discipline across teams.
  • Experience working within aerospace, medical device, precision manufacturing, or similarly regulated industries.
Work Environment

This position operates within a collaborative precision manufacturing environment and involves regular interaction with Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supplier Quality teams.

The role requires a visible presence within production and inspection areas to support team leadership, employee development, workflow management, and quality initiatives. The environment is fast-paced and focused on maintaining high quality standards while supporting operational objectives.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of West Hartford, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
