Job summary

PrecisionX Group is seeking a qualified Quality Control Inspector to prepare inspection plans, select sampling plans, analyze problems, and document procedures. You will ensure in-process and final parts meet specifications and are inspected accurately and timely.

You will operate gages, optical comparators, and SPC methods, collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams, and maintain ISO SOPs. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and experience with GD&T and engineering

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, optical comparators, and visual measuring systems.
  • Experience with engineering drawing and knowledge about GD&T.
  • Experience with precision metal, stamping or machining is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs quality control, technical and customer satisfaction activities.
  • Implements and follows inspection programs and instructions related to manufacturing objectives.
  • Responsible for the inspection approval and rejection process of new and existing parts, including receiving inspection, 1st article, process inspection and final inspection operations.
  • Operates all gages, software, vision systems and related SPC methodologies.
  • Ability to design and develop inspection methodologies.
  • Leads and teams with manufacturing and engineering for efficient transfer of data to assist in troubleshooting activities.
  • Documents and enforces Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the ISO system.

Position Summary:

The Quality Control Inspector prepares inspection plans and instructions, selects sampling plan applications, analyzes and solves problems, and prepares procedures. Ensures that parts manufactured in-process, and parts at final inspection are inspected accurately, in a timely manner, and documented properly. Also to ensure that our customers receive quality parts to their specifications and requirements. Executes inspection plans at various stages of the process.

Work Environment:

This position involves working in a manufacturing environment that is adjacent to the shop work environment. The employee must be aware of potential hazards, including, but not limited to, working in close proximity to moving mechanical parts, operating vehicles, exposure to electrical current, high temperatures, and chemicals. It's important to maintain a high level of alertness and caution while performing tasks in this work environment.
