Job summary

Ultra Tool is seeking a Quality Lab Manager to organize and direct the activities of the Quality Lab, ensuring accurate inspections, timely calibrations, and robust quality processes. You will lead the team, manage MRB meetings, respond to customer NCM requests, and stop production when parts are out of tolerance, while maintaining clean labs and updated control plans.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field is required.
• 3–5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; expertise in quality inspection is essential.

Responsibilities

• Organize and direct the activities of the Quality Lab.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of First Piece inspections for production and tooling.
• Ensure floor inspections are completed at prescribed intervals.
• Ensure gage calibrations are completed on schedule.
• Organize monthly MRB meetings to disposition nonconforming material (NCM).
• Respond to customer NCM requests and create RMAs when warranted.
• Communicate inspection results to appropriate managers.
• Review inspection results and update Control Plans as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient Quality Lab.
• Supervise and manage Quality department.
• Stop production when parts are found to be out of tolerance.
