Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of leadership or lead-level experience in manufacturing or quality control, aerospace/defense experience preferred.
  • Experience in ISO 9001 / AS9100 regulated environments.
  • Hands-on experience supporting end-to-end inspection activities from raw material to final assembly.
  • Experience coordinating inspection activities to support production flow and delivery.
  • Associate degree in manufacturing, engineering, quality, technology, or related field, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Experience with calibration techniques and verification of measurement accuracy.
  • Experience applying root cause analysis (8D), FMEA, process maps, and auditing techniques.

Responsibilities

The Quality Control Supervisor is a frontline leader responsible for directing daily quality control activities and ensuring inspection resources, people, and priorities are aligned to current production needs. This role leads the Quality Control team through hands-on engagement, clear expectations, and real-time decision-making to support consistent execution of quality requirements.

Operating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, the Supervisor owns daily quality performance, resolves execution-level quality and technical issues, and adapts resources as conditions change. The Quality Control Supervisor serves as the first point of accountability when quality execution breaks down and plays an active role in identifying and improving processes, tools, and controls based on shop-floor experience. As a strong people leader, this role develops talent, builds a high-performance culture, and models the DMC mission, vision, and core values. This position requires effective collaboration with peer supervisors and engineers, and hands-on proficiency with inspection and metrology methods, while modeling the company’s values and commitment to continuous improvement.

Essential Job Functions
  • Provide day-to-day leadership to the Quality Control team through work assignment, coaching, and oversight to ensure consistent execution of quality requirements.
  • Take ownership of daily quality performance by identifying risks, responding to issues as they arise, and escalating concerns appropriately to ensure requirements are met.
  • Monitor and execute assigned quality metrics and objectives, ensuring inspection output, responsiveness, and documentation meet established expectations.
  • Maintain Quality Control activities in compliance with customer, internal, Aerospace, Military, AS/ISO, and regulatory requirements, ensuring traceability and adherence to control plans.
  • Execute and support internal audits, inspections, and corrective actions as directed, ensuring readiness for customer and third-party audits.
  • Interface daily with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other peer departments to resolve technical issues, align priorities, and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Apply and reinforce established quality processes, inspection methods, and technologies to ensure consistent execution and data accuracy.
  • Follow control plans and standard work to support end-to-end quality execution across incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities.
  • Support supplier and customer quality activities by executing inspection requirements, supporting containment actions, and providing timely feedback and documentation.
  • Maintain a strong customer focus through responsive execution, timely communication of inspection results, and adherence to commitments.
  • Serve as a hands-on inspection expert, ensuring proper use, calibration, and application of precision hand tools, CMM, and optical measurement equipment.
  • Execute root cause analysis and corrective actions for daily quality issues within defined authority, escalating systemic issues as appropriate.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring execution gaps, recommending practical improvements, and reinforcing standard work within the team.
Experience
  • 3-5 years of leadership or lead-level experience in a manufacturing or quality control environment; aerospace, defense, or metal manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 / AS9100 regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience supporting end to end inspection activities from bar stock to assembly in a production setting.
  • Experience coordinating inspection activities and priorities to support production flow and delivery commitments.
  • Associate degree in manufacturing, engineering, quality, technology, or a related field, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Experience with inspection of assembled end items to include verification fixtures, force gauges, functional inspection, and visual inspection
  • Experience applying root cause analysis (8D), FMEA, process maps, and auditing techniques
  • Experience with calibration techniques and verification of accuracy
Skills

  • Expert level experience with technical drawings to include part drawings, assembly drawings, electrical diagrams and Pneumatic diagrams
  • Experience with Aerospace and or Military Spec quality environment, maintaining Certificates of Conformance, AS9102 FAI or Automotive PPAP.
  • Experience with incoming and outgoing material certifications, including verification of chemical/physical properties and special process documentation.
  • Expert knowledge and use of Micrometers, Calipers, Thread & Pin Gages, Surface Plates and Height Gages, CMM, optical inspection systems, and force gauges.
  • Expert Knowledge of GD&T, SPC, and ISO 9000/AS9100 quality management systems
  • Ability to create and follow documented procedures and standards
