Job summary

Ultra Tool Manufacturing in Wisconsin seeks a Quality Lab Manager to organize and direct the Quality Lab activities, ensuring accurate inspections, calibrations, and quality processes across manufacturing. You will oversee First Piece inspections, floor inspections, gage calibration schedules, MRB meetings, and RMAs, communicating results to managers and stopping production when parts are out of tolerance.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field.
• 3–5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Certification not required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of production and tooling First Piece inspections.
• Ensure floor inspections are completed at prescribed intervals.
• Ensure gage calibrations are completed on schedule.
• Organize monthly MRB meetings to disposition nonconforming material (NCM).
• Respond to customer NCM requests and create RMAs when warranted.
• Communicate inspection results to appropriate managers.
• Review inspection results and update Control Plans as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient Quality Lab.
• Supervise and manage Quality department.
• Stop production when parts are found to be out of tolerance.
