Job summary

Daimler Truck North America in Tooele, UT is seeking a Quality Supervisor to lead plant-level quality systems and teams, ensuring ISO 9001 and customer-specific requirements are met. You will drive data-driven improvements in product quality, manufacturing processes, and supplier performance.

Drives continuous improvement in product quality, manufacturing processes, supplier performance, and customer satisfaction through data-driven decision-making, root cause analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. Ensures alignment of quality strategy with operational objectives, including reduction of defects, warranty claims, and cost of poor quality (COPQ).**Posting Information**We provide a scheduled posting end date to assist our candidates with their application planning. While this date reflects our latest plans, it is subject to change, and postings may be extended or removed earlier than expected.**We Take Care of Our Team****Position offers a starting salary range of $95,000 - $121,000 USD**Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experienceBenefits include annual bonus program; 401k company contribution with company match up to 6% as well as non-elective company contribution of 3 - 7% depending on age; starting at 4 weeks paid vacation; 15 calendar holidays; 8 weeks paid parental leave; employee assistance program; comprehensive healthcare plans and wellness programs; onsite fitness (at some locations); tuition assistance and volunteer paid time off; short-term and long-term disability plans.**What You Drive at DTNA*** Lead and maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and customer-specific requirements* Supervise and develop quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians* Decision maker for daily production activities guided by policies and procedures* Coordinates resources and set daily priorities to meet business objectives* Manage internal and external audits* Oversee manufacturing quality processes including SPC, inspection strategies, and quality gates* Drive root cause analysis using 8D, A3, and DMAIC methodologies* Reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and improve First Pass Yield (FPY)* Interface with customers on quality concerns and corrective actions* Analyze warranty and field failure data to drive improvements* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues* Drive continuous improvement and Lean/Six Sigma initiatives* Lead cross-functional teams to resolve complex quality issues* Allocate resources and set priorities aligned with production goals* Develop team capabilities through coaching and performance management, and provide ongoing performance feedback and guidance to direct reports* Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement**Knowledge You Should Bring** * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field required* 5–7 years of progressive manufacturing quality experience* 2 years of Team Lead, Project Leadership or Supervisory experience* Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and 14001* Experience in manufacturing quality within automotive or heavy-duty industries* Knowledge of or ability to apply Lean/Continuous improvement tools and principles* Proficiency in root cause analysis methodologies (8D, A3, 5 Whys, etc.)* Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, SPC, and MSA* Ability to analyze and interpret quality data* Excellent communication and customer-facing skills**Exceptional Candidates Might Have** * Experience with heavy duty truck and powertrain development and/or manufacturing* Strong leadership experience in a shop floor environment* Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification* Experience with Power BI, SPC software, or similar tools* Knowledge of warranty systems and field failure analysis* Experience with OEM customer requirements and APQP processes#LI-LL1 #LI-Onsite**Where We Work**This position is open to applicants who can work in (or relocate to) the following location(s)-Tooele, UT US.
