Madix Inc. is seeking a QA Supervisor to lead quality initiatives in a manufacturing environment in Alabama. You will guide safety, QA processes, and staff development to ensure high-quality production while maintaining a safe workspace.

The supervisor leads the safety initiative in the department and constantly focuses on safety by creating a safe work environment, weekly meetings and communication. Managers should strive for 0 accidents. Achieves results by establishing priorities, communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and apprising job results, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, and initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, polices, and procedures. Maintains quality of staff by hiring, training, developing, and mentoring employees to ensure maximum performance. Provides creative leadership and direction to employees to evaluate the overall quality of products produced. Participates in the leadership and development of continuous improvement initiatives for department. Assist with the CI initiatives. Manages work flow by monitoring steps of the process, setting process variables, observing control points, monitoring personnel, and developing reporting procedures and systems. Implement existing quality assurance standards and make adjustments as necessary to enhance quality standards or adjustments. Recommend and implement action plans to correct deviations noted during daily work, internal and/or external audits. Develop and maintain QA analytics for management decision support. Routinely share results and continue to enhance the information. Timely complete and report administration duties which included time and attendance system, holiday/vacation planning, production reports, back order reviews, past due list, and safety violations/concerns. Performing internal audits. Interact with production management and staff daily, on the production floor. Addressing non-conformities from previous internal and external audits. Conducting a management review of the quality system. Following up on closing and pending preventative and corrective action request. Insuring that organizational systems and training are in place. Ensuring that documentation and design controls are appropriate for organization. Administering document control and configuration management. Overseeing established calibration and testing program. Assisting the management team and providing QA support as necessary. Maintaining design history file.
Performance Management. Technical Capacity. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Leadership. Problem solving analysis. Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written). Organized, strong time management skills, deadline, and detail-oriented. Demonstrated ability to work in a team and promote continuous improvement. Positive attitude and action oriented.
Supervisor/management experience preferred. BS degree in manufacturing leadership role or equivalent work experience required. Working Knowledge of lean processes preferred. English required, bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Manufacturing plant environment with extreme fluctuation in temperature.
