Job summary

Atlas Tube Blytheville, AR plant is seeking a Quality Supervisor to lead the Quality Group under the Quality Manager. You will oversee lab operations, calibration, and NDT activities while ensuring compliance with quality policies.

Responsibilities include coordinating with operations and customers on quality issues, maintaining the Quality Management System (ISO 9001), training staff, and facilitating safe, accurate inspections across shifts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in quality field with supervisory experience.
• Familiar with ISO 9001 and NDE practices.
• Experience with API products preferred.
• Strong communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Quality Group in support of the Quality Manager.
• Cover vacation for site Quality Manager and Leads.
• Ensure lab and equipment calibration is performed.
• Back up and support inline NDT activities.
• Flex to all shifts; primary days.
• Oversee inspections and disposition of nonconforming material.
• Maintain the quality management system.
• Liaise with customers on quality issues and product information.
• Collaborate with Sales on product information.
• Provide training to quality staff.
• Assist Shipping in inspections as needed.
• Travel as required.
• Lead and promote health and safety practices.

Reporting to the Quality Manager this position works directly with the Quality Employees/Operations in Blytheville. This person will assist in directing, overseeing, and managing the Quality Department for Blytheville. Other responsibilities include providing technical assistance to other departments as required, supporting the quality and technical groups of other facilities producing structural tubing, acting as the company’s technical representative on external complaints, and to determine steel grade requirements with suppliers. Develop and implement quality policies for Atlas Tube Blytheville.RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead the Quality Group in support of the Quality ManagerCover vacation for site Quality Manager and Quality LeadsEnsure the lab & equipment is in good condition and calibration are performedBackup and support inline NDTAbility to flex to all shifts as required.
