Job summary

Zekelman Industries seeks a Quality Supervisor for the Atlas Tube Blytheville, AR Plant. You will oversee the Quality Department, assist other departments with technical needs, and act as the technical representative for external complaints.

You will determine steel grade requirements with suppliers and develop quality policies for Blytheville. Responsibilities include leading the Quality Group, ensuring calibration of lab tools, supporting inline NDT, and maintaining the quality management

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a Quality Supervisor role.
• Experience with ISO 9001, NDE inspection and API product is preferred.
• Must follow written and verbal instructions, strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Quality Group in support of the Quality Manager.
• Cover vacation for site Quality Manager and Quality Leads.
• Ensure lab and equipment are in good condition and calibrated.
• Backup and support inline NDT.
• Flex to all shifts; primary days.
• Ensure inspections are completed as required.
• Review nonconforming material dispositions and scheduling rework.
• Assist in maintaining the quality management system.
• Liaison with customers over quality issues and product information.
• Liaison with sales regarding product information.
• Provide training to quality staff.
• Assist shipping in inspection as needed.
• Travel as required.
• Lead and promote health and safety practices.

About The Role

Zekelman Industries seeks a Quality Supervisor for our Atlas Tube Blytheville, AR Plant. Reporting to the Quality Manager this position works directly with the Quality Employees/Operations in Blytheville. This person will assist in directing, overseeing, and managing the Quality Department for Blytheville. Other responsibilities include providing technical assistance to other departments as required, supporting the quality and technical groups of other facilities producing structural tubing, acting as the company’s technical representative on external complaints, and to determine steel grade requirements with suppliers. Develop and implement quality policies for Atlas Tube Blytheville.

Responsibilities

Skills/Competencies

• Working in the Quality field 5 years minimum in a Supervisor or higher role
• Ability to review & understand product specifications/standards
• Experience with Quality System (ISO 9001), NDE inspection and API product (preferred)
• Must be able to follow written/verbal instructions, Strong computer skills.
• Exhibits effective listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail, dependability, professionalism, and a great work ethic.
