Job summary

Atlas Tube Zekelman Industries in Chicago, IL is seeking a Production Supervisor to coordinate labor, develop staff, and ensure safe, efficient, high‑quality plant operations. You will foster continuous improvement across the facility, collaborating with Quality and Maintenance to resolve challenges and meet production goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Associate degree with emphasis in management or supervision preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of shop floor systems (MES, SAP) and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop work schedules to ensure staffing levels and achievement of production goals.
• Delegate responsibilities, maintain accountability for performance outcomes.
• Provide training, cross-training, evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Hire, coach, develop, monitor, and evaluate team members; approve personnel actions.
• Perform quality checks on equipment and production areas to meet customer and quality standards.
• Generate and review daily operational reports for shift continuity and issue resolution.
• Monitor cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Identify and escalate maintenance needs to minimize disruptions.
• Collaborate with Quality to develop site quality standards.
• Develop and implement action plans to improve plant performance and efficiency.
• Document workplace injuries and follow up on corrective actions.
• Lead and promote safe work practices per regulatory and company policy.

This role plays a critical part in achieving production goals by enforcing safety procedures, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.You will collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve operational challenges, improve processes, and foster a positive and productive work environment.
