Job summary

AUTOKINITON seeks a Quality Supervisor to lead inspection and testing activities, ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO-17025:2017, and ISO-14001, and uphold customer requirements across plants.

You will mentor, coach, and discipline direct reports, review production schedules, and drive corrective actions with engineering and QA teams, delivering accurate quality data and continuous improvement results.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in applied science in Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, or Industrial Technology preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Quality and two (2) years of management experience.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, stamping, and/or assembly processes.
  • Ability to work with plant department functions to facilitate plant synergy.
  • Familiarity with measurement tools (Micrometers, Calipers, Scales).
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

  • Lead inspection and testing of assemblies and parts.
  • Coordinate QA activities to ensure standards are met.
  • Review QA instructions, specifications, and production schedules.
  • Direct workers in QA inspection and testing to meet standards.
  • Report findings and coordinate with QA, production, management, and engineering.
  • Mentor and coach direct reports; drive corrective actions.

Autokiniton – Quality Supervisor
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the Company’s mission, vision, values, and goals in performance of daily activities.
  • Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in inspecting and testing assemblies, components, and parts, applying knowledge of quality assurance standards and procedures.
  • Reviews quality assurance instructions, assembly specifications, and production schedules to determine method of conducting inspections and tests, sequence of operations, and work assignments.
  • Directs workers in quality assurance inspection and testing to assure that establishment and regulatory standards are met.
  • Reviews reports and confers with quality assurance, production, management, and engineering personnel to solve work-related problems.
  • Responsible for performance feedback and leadership of all direct reports, including mentoring, coaching, counseling, and corrective action when situations dictate.
  • Assist in root cause, containment, and corrective actions.
  • Ability to produce and report on Quality documentation.
  • Quality review of assemblies per check fixture and buy-off dimensionally.
  • Work with Quality Engineers on CMM data review and assessment of corrections needed.
  • Travel to plants in place of AQT or Quality Engineer
  • Review Sort data/product for release.
  • Audit launch shipments for correct labels/ tagging.
  • Documenting quality issues and communicating with the team.
  • Responsible for reading and understanding the ISO-9001:2015, ISO-17025:2017, and ISO-14001 procedures.
  • Responsible for reading customer requirements and pulling requirements from the spec.
  • Responsible for compiling data in electronic format presentable to the customer. (Microsoft Excel)
  • Responsible for tracking open issues with PDCA. (Microsoft Excel)
  • Responsible for following all internal and OSHA-required safety procedures in performing all daily work activities.
LEADERSHIP/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ability to identify, select, train, and coach materials talent.
  • Provides model behavior to demonstrate corporate values.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in applied science in Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, or Industrial Technology preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Quality and two (2) years of management experience.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, stamping, and/or assembly processes as required for the position.
  • Possess knowledge of plant department functions and interact to facilitate overall plant synergy.
  • Ability to work with the following tools or machinery.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS, WORK ENVIRONMENT, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Duties include but are not limited to standing, walking, bending, lifting, talking, and hearing, with an ability to travel. When visiting plant site locations, employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration, or hazardous materials.
