Job summary

Responsibilities

• Schedule and assign audits; monitor internal audit program.
• Participate in advanced quality planning processes.
• Review and standardize procedures to improve subordinates’ efficiency.
• Adhere to safety policy, ISO 14001 standards, and report non-conformities.

Job description

• Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees
• Supervises employees in the quality assurance department/lab.
• Issues written and oral instructions to subordinates.
• Has subordinates perform audits on-site, corrective action, and other quality related activities.
• Schedules, performs, and assigns audits to subordinates. Follows up and other activities related to the internal audit program.
• Participates in advanced quality planning processes.
• Reviews and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
• May be given certain authority within job scope by Manager
• Each employee has the authority to initiate action to prevent a violation of the Federal-Mogul Integrity Policy.
• All employees will abide by the plant’s safety policy, comply with the legal and other requirements and operational controls established, work toward achieving established objectives and targets, and conform to procedures consistent with the ISO 14001 standard. An employee should report, and if necessary stop, any activity that does not conform to the policy or may injure himself/herself.
• Capable of providing support as requested by manager.
• Awareness of customer specific requirements as impacted by quality technicians / lab measurement (can be learned during role).

EDUCATION:

High School graduate or equivalent. Technical degree preferred.
