Job summary

Thoughtworks is seeking a Quality Analyst to embed quality across delivery teams, collaborating with Developers, BAs, Designers and stakeholders to define and execute a robust quality strategy. You will drive testing across UAT, E2E and program levels, advocate for automation, and coach peers in testing mindsets while aligning with industry standards and Thoughtworks practices.

Qualifications

• Experience as Quality Analyst within a development team pairing with Devs, BAs, infra engineers and designers.
• Comfortable with agile, code management, deployment and release management strategies.
• Extensive experience with TDD, BDD, CI/CD and models like Test Pyramid and Swiss cheese.
• Ability to drive changes to on-premise and cloud architectures to improve quality.
• Strategize functional and cross-functional testing including performance and security testing.
• Leverage metrics to improve lead time, deployment frequency, MTTR and change fail rate.
• Design quality strategies and produce them for large programs.

Responsibilities

• Shift quality left in alignment with senior client stakeholders.
• Partner with stakeholders to define a quality strategy and empower teams to implement it.
• Highlight delivery risks and assist leadership in managing them.
• Regular exploratory testing to uncover risks.
• Drive improvements for clean code, tests, testability and tooling recommendations.
• Define and implement program-level testing approaches (UAT, E2E).
• Influence automation across teams: nomenclature, domain boundaries, contracts, layers, tooling and dashboards.
• Adapt team approach based on industry standards and regulations.
• Coach teammates to deliver better quality software and adopt testing mindsets.
• Advocate QA expertise to Thoughtworks and industry, mentoring juniors.
