Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Quality Specialist to perform a broad set of quality assurance duties ensuring compliance with regulatory and technical requirements across QEHS processes.

The role supports management system activities, corrective action analysis, audits and third-party interfaces, reporting to the Manager of Quality Programs and Internal Assessments in Cranberry Township, PA. This is a hybrid position with strong emphasis on quality improvement and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of work experience in quality or a technical role.
• ASQ Auditing Certification is preferred.
• Experience in nuclear or other regulated industries.
• Familiarity with codes, standards and regulations; NQA-1 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support coordination with third-party inquiries and audits including regulatory agencies, customers, and registrars.
• Participate in internal quality audits and assessments to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate simple projects across multifunctional areas; monitor progress against quality objectives.
• Prepare data reports, presentations, and metrics for leadership evaluation.
• Initiate corrective action programs and coordinate IRC activities as assigned.
• Support revision of corporate quality procedures and document management requirements.
• Assist with quality records management and management review inputs.

About The Role

As a Quality Specialist you will perform a variety of quality assurance duties to ensure Westinghouse Corporate QEHS processes, products and services meet quality (regulatory, statutory) and technical requirements defined by Westinghouse. Develop and execute quality activities that support management system activities, corrective action issue analysis and resolution, quality program audits & assessments, and third-party interface activities. You will report to the Manager, Quality Programs and Internal Assessments and be located at our Cranberry Township, PA location. This is a hybrid role.

Key Responsibilities

• Support coordination activities associated with third-party inquiries and audits, including government regulatory agencies, customers, industry entities, and registrars.
• Participate in internal quality audits and assessments to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, codes, and standards.
• Coordinate simple projects encompassing multi-functional areas. Monitor progress and work to achieve established quality objectives within schedule constraints.
• Prepare data reports, presentations, and organizational metrics for leadership evaluation upon request.
• Initiate and perform Corrective Action Program efforts, including issue owner, causal analysis, corrective action implementation, Issue Review Committee (IRC) coordination efforts as assigned.
• Support efforts associated with revising Corporate Quality procedures, coordinating document management processes, and implementing archival and retention requirements for quality assurance documentation.
• Support efforts associated with quality records management.
• Provide input and support to corporate quality processes and activities such as management review, self-assessments, procedure revisions, operating experience, etc.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of work experience in quality or a technical role
• ASQ Auditing Certification is preferred.
• Experience working in quality, engineering, or operations groups associated with nuclear or other regulated industry.
• Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations, familiarity with NQA-1 is preferred.
• Knowledge and use of causal analysis tools is beneficial.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $64,800 to $81,000 per year.
