Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in Cranberry Township, PA, is seeking a Quality Specialist to perform a variety of QA duties ensuring processes, products, and services meet regulatory and technical standards. Hybrid role reporting to the Manager, Quality Programs and Internal Assessments.

The position requires a Bachelor's or equivalent experience with 3+ years in quality or a technical role; ASQ Auditing Certification is preferred. Nuclear/regulatory industry exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3+ years of work experience in quality or a technical role.
• Knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations; familiarity with NQA-1 preferred.
• Experience with causal analysis tools beneficial.
• ASQ Auditing Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support coordination activities with third-party inquiries and audits including government regulatory agencies, customers, industry entities, and registrars.
• Participate in internal quality audits and assessments to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate simple multi-functional projects and monitor progress to achieve quality objectives.
• Prepare data reports, presentations, and leadership metrics upon request.
• Initiate and perform Corrective Action Program efforts (IIRC coordination as assigned).
• Assist with revising Corporate Quality procedures and document management processes.
• Support quality records management and related corporate quality processes.

About the role:

As a Quality Specialist you will perform a variety of quality assurance duties to ensure Westinghouse Corporate QEHS processes, products and services meet quality (regulatory, statutory) and technical requirements defined by Westinghouse. Develop and execute quality activities that support management system activities, corrective action issue analysis and resolution, quality program audits & assessments, and third-party interface activities. You will report to the Manager, Quality Programs and Internal Assessments and be located at our Cranberry Township, PA location. This is a hybrid role.

KeyResponsibilities:

Support coordination activities associated with third-party inquiries and audits, including government regulatory agencies, customers, industry entities, and registrars.

Participate in internal qualityaudits and assessmentsto ensure compliance with applicable regulations, codes, and standards.

Coordinate simple projects encompassing multi-functional areas. Monitor progress and work to achieve established qualityobjectiveswithin schedule constraints.

Prepare data reports, presentations, and organizational metrics for leadership evaluation upon request.

Initiate and perform Corrective Action Program efforts, including issue owner, causal analysis, corrective action implementation, Issue Review Committee (IRC) coordination efforts as assigned.

Support efforts associated with revising Corporate Quality procedures, coordinating document management processes, and implementing archival and retention requirements for quality assurance documentation.

Support efforts associated with quality records management.

Provide input and support to corporate quality processes and activities such as management review, self-assessments, procedure revisions, operating experience, etc.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degreeor equivalent experience.

3+ years of work experiencein quality or a technical role

ASQ Auditing Certification is preferred.

Experience working in quality, engineering, or operations groups associated with nuclear or other regulated industry.

Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations, familiarity with NQA-1 is preferred.

Knowledge and use of causal analysis tools is beneficial.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $64,800 to $81,000 per year.
