Job summary

Duraco Specialty Tapes and Liners in Forest Park, IL is seeking a Quality Specialist to own the Quality Claims process and partner with Operations, Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and Customer Service to improve product and process performance.

The role involves leading root-cause analysis, coordinating testing, and supporting audits to reduce defects, scrap, and customer complaints while driving continuous improvement on the manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with customer qualifications, and validation testing.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience monitoring quality metrics, KPIs and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Resolve customer claims from Opened to Closed, communicating with stakeholders and customers.
• Lead root cause investigations with multifunctional teams and validate corrective actions.
• Manage returned/non-conforming material and coordinate dispositions with production and engineering.
• Host monthly CAPA meetings and prepare performance reports.
• Support internal and external audit activities as main facilitator.
• Coordinate testing requests with lab technicians and establish priorities.
• Prepare technical reports and host read-out sessions.
• Perform pre-shipment or in-process inspections as needed.
• Participate in cross-functional teams for continuous improvement.
