Job summary

Duraco Specialty Tapes and Liners in Forest Park, IL is seeking a Quality Specialist to own the site’s Quality Claims process and drive improvements with Operations, Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Customer Service.

You will perform inspections, investigate nonconforming material and customer complaints, support root-cause analysis, maintain quality documentation, and lead cross-functional teams to reduce defects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience with customer qualifications and validation testing.
• Experience monitoring quality metrics and KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Resolve customer claims from opened to closed, coordinating with internal stakeholders and customers.
• Lead root cause investigations with multifunctional teams; utilize DOE, Pareto, and 8D; document and verify corrective actions.
• Manage returned/non-conforming material; process returns and disposition in collaboration with production and engineering.
• Host monthly CAPA meetings and prepare performance reports.
• Coordinate testing with lab technicians and develop test plans.
• Prepare technical reports and present read-outs on activities.
• Perform pre-shipment or in-process inspections as needed.
• Participate in cross-functional teams for continuous improvement.
