Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Quality Specialist for 1st Shift at the Youngsville, NC facility. The role focuses on quality audits, inspection of assemblies, and supporting continuous improvement under Lean manufacturing standards and ISO 9001:2000 requirements.

You will collaborate with engineering and operations to meet product quality targets. Qualified candidates will have at least one year in manufacturing or distribution, a high school diploma or GED, and be legally eligible to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited school.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• No relocation benefit is being offered; candidates must reside within 50 miles of Raleigh, NC.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality audits and inspect in-process and finished assemblies.
• Assist in CAPA and 8D activities, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate quality feedback with Engineering, Materials Management and Operational Excellence.
• Prepare inspection plans and document non-conformances, trends and reports.
• Promote safety and continuous improvement within the production team.

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Quality Specialist - 1st Shift - RDC at our new facility on Innovation Loop in Youngsville, NC.The pay rate for this position is $23.00 per hour .Core hours are 8:30am - 5:30pm.Why work at Eaton?Health benefits and vacation timePaid holidaysCareer progression opportunities to cross-train in different departmentsOvertime opportunitiesRetirement benefitsPaid Parental LeaveEducational Assistance Program, Wellness Reimbursement, and more!What you’ll do:The quality specialist will perform a variety of duties to ensure the production quality of all products in accordance with establish Lean Manufacturing workmanship standards, assembly procedures, ISO 9001:2000 Quality system requirements and the Eaton Quality System.In this function you will:• Assist in quality audits, workmanship defect reduction efforts, corrective and preventive action identification, analysis and reporting, inspection of returned units, special inspections• Assist departments in meeting product quality targets by working closely with Engineering, Materials Management and Operational Excellence• Perform inspection activities and videos/photos on in-process and completed assemblies as required.• Analyzes and reports production non-conformances. Coordinates feedback on problems affecting quality, BOM, tooling issues, raw materials, training and prints) to Supervisors and Quality Engineers., Mfg. Engineers, or product Engineers as needed.• Initiate, participate in and/or coordinate internal 8D corrective actions (CARs), Failure Effect Mode Analysis, and Control Planning to include follow-up of vendor 8D corrective actions• Train and educate associates in product inspection to drive performance improvements and communicate quality standards on an ongoing basis to Production Supervisor and teams as needed.• Create Final Inspection programs and assist in developing actions for continued Quality System improvements.• Follow commitment to Eaton Health and Safety (EHS) by following safety policies and procedures, setting safety objectives and following JSA procedures.• Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement through participation and teamwork.Qualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:• Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited school• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
