Job description

Under general supervision and reporting to Quality Management in Quality Operations, the Quality Inspector is responsible for performing visual inspection operations, including In-process, Final Inspection, and FAI’s as appropriate. The inspector must be familiar with hand tools and inspection under magnification. Additionally, the role involves verifying test data and related documentation, along with other duties assigned by management.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Inspect electronic units/boards using measuring and inspection instruments, including visual inspection under magnification and component placement.
2. Read, interpret, and utilize quality policies, procedures, blueprints, and documentation.
3. Process warehouse materials.
4. Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions.
5. Conduct First Article Inspections and complete related documentation, ensuring inspection documents are current, including FAI inspections per AS9102.
6. Perform internal containment activities for non-conformances.
7. Act as a Source Inspector.
8. Support corrective actions and root cause analysis.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience in visual inspection of PCB boards, sub-assemblies, and aerospace machined components.
• Experience with FAI's (AS9102).
• Proficiency in visual magnification techniques.
• Experience with MS Outlook and Excel.
• Ability to use hand measurement gauges and conduct inspections per engineering requirements.

Preferred Skills:

• In-process and final inspection experience in the defense industry.
• Knowledge of IPC, J-STD, and Mil-Spec inspections.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple objectives.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated.
• Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a quality inspector in aerospace manufacturing.
