Job summary

The Quality RN Consultant at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is a registered nurse accountable to Quality, Safety & Value (QSV) Leadership.

Working with internal and external stakeholders, this role coordinates, implements, and evaluates QSV program goals and other quality activities within the hospital and thirteen outpatient Community Clinics as assigned. Responsibilities include applying nursing process and process improvement principles to improve patient care, safety, and value.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency required for direct patient care roles.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program with appropriate licensure.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted registered nurse licensure in the U.S. or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, implement and evaluate QSV program goals.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Apply nursing process and process improvement principles in hospital and clinic settings.
• Support quality, safety and value initiatives across the network of clinics.
