Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Health System in Broward seeks a Manager of Quality and Risk to oversee quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management across Fort Lauderdale and Coral Springs. The role reports to the Quality Division and leads department goals, initiatives, and staff.

You will coordinate programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive a culture of safety with multidisciplinary teams while partnering with hospital leadership to optimize patient care outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Florida or eNLC.
• CPHQ certification required within 18 months of hire.
• 2–4 years in a management/supervisory role.
• 3–5 years in quality improvement, patient safety, or risk management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee annual department goals aligned with hospital objectives.
• Develop and monitor quality improvement programs to enhance safety and patient experience.
• Coordinate clinical risk management functions with administrative leadership.
• Communicate department needs and services to internal and external customers.
• Maintain oversight of performance improvement activities across the hospital.
• Promote a culture of safety and investigate safety events; complete root cause analyses.
