Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Collects, enters, maintains, and verifies data within multiple databases and systems to support strategic initiatives, quality improvement efforts, and departmental objectives.
  • Coordinates the compilation, analysis, and reporting of Quality, Risk, Patient Experience, Clinical Education, and other organizational performance measures.
  • Administers and maintains the internal incident reporting system to support the timely submission, tracking, retrieval, and follow-up of reported events and identified issues.
  • Prepares, distributes, and maintains routine and ad hoc reports to support departmental initiatives, performance monitoring, and decision-making.
  • Coordinates the submission of required data to external reporting platforms and organizations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established timelines.
  • Collaborates with department leaders and stakeholders to support data collection, reporting, and continuous improvement activities across the organization.
  • Assists the Quality, Risk, Patient Experience, and Clinical Education teams with the coordination and distribution of data and outcome reports for system and network sites.
  • Serves as a resource to providers, staff, and partners by supporting activities related to insurance verification, annual applications, and obtaining new or expanded coverage as needed.
  • Provides administrative support to leaders within the Quality, Risk, Patient Experience, and Clinical Education departments, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and document preparation.
  • Maintains departmental records, files, and supporting documentation in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Summary

The Data Coordinator supports the Quality, Risk, Patient Experience, and Clinical Education departments through the management, maintenance, and reporting of data used to support quality improvement, patient safety, risk management, patient experience, regulatory compliance, and strategic initiatives. This role is responsible for maintaining data integrity across multiple internal and external systems, administering department data platforms, coordinating data collection and submissions, and preparing reports to support operational and organizational goals. The Data Coordinator collaborates with leaders, providers, staff, and external partners to ensure the availability of accurate, timely, and actionable information and provides administrative support to departmental leadership.

Essential Job Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources, Nursing, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Two (2) years of experience in healthcare, data management, data reporting, administrative support, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission), and patient safety principles preferred
  • Experience with risk management or incident reporting systems (e.g., RL6 or similar platforms) and data analysis tools
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data trends and translate findings into actionable recommendations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to manage sensitive situations and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
