Job summary

AdventHealth in Daytona Beach, FL seeks a Hospital Content Improvement Specialist to support performance improvement projects, accreditation, and patient safety.

You will monitor data management, prepare reports for medical staff and leadership, and coordinate regulatory correspondence while considering safety, cost, and outcomes. Strong communication and PI methodology skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills to build relationships with departments, physicians and executives.
• Demonstrated ability to present to leadership, negotiate and advocate with healthcare professionals and accrediting bodies.
• Analytical ability to interpret data trends.
• Acts independently with organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Six Sigma, Lean or PDSA methods preferred.
• Ability to prepare and present professional presentations to executive teams.
• Experience with accreditation activities and survey preparation.
• Provider performance improvement activities.
• Leadership experience and knowledge of QA/QI principles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a hospital content expert on performance improvement projects, accreditation, and safety.
• Assist with data management, performance improvement, medical record review and meeting organization.
• Maintain daily screening for inpatient admissions and ensure core measure safety practices.
• Plan, implement and monitor interventions for evidence-based practices.
• Prepare reports and statistical analyses for medical staff and leadership meetings.
• Facilitate patient grievances and route inquiries to appropriate directors.
• Draft and manage regulatory correspondence and follow-up actions.
• Assess financial, safety and clinical outcomes when making recommendations.
• Contribute to cost-benefit analyses and efficacy studies.
