Job summary

AmeriTex Pipe in Gunter, TX is seeking a Quality Inspector responsible for ensuring the quality and acceptability of fabricated products, and compliance with our quality approved processes during concrete fabrication.

This full-time role requires attention to detail, ability to inspect and test materials, and collaboration with supervisors to ensure products meet fabrication standards. Training will be provided for equipment operation and certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of arithmetic and geometry and their applications.
• Knowledge of raw materials, and production processes.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Follows Safety Guideline and procedures set for this role.
• Does not operate any equipment, machinery, or tool(s) if he/she has not been trained to operate.
• Monitors and reviews information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems.
• Inspects materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
• Provides information to supervisors or co-workers by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person to help the team make proper business decisions.
• Evaluates the preparation of concrete mix designs.
• Evaluates and reports proper dimensions, conditions and cleanliness and placement of the products.
• Ensures the proper placement of reinforced steel and embedment.
• Inspects and evaluates the mixing, placing, consolidating, finishing, and curing of the concrete.
• Conducts final inspections of the products before releasing it to the yard.
• Validates the procedures for damage repairs and evaluations.
• Verifies proper final procedures and the results for handling and storing our products.
• Ensures the final products have the proper approval stamps and the products have been released to shipping without damages or quality failures.
