Job summary

Employee Magnets is seeking a Quality Engineer to enhance our quality program. The role focuses on maintaining the Quality System, performing audits, and coordinating with engineering and operations to ensure transfer to production aligns with approved data.

Responsibilities include analyzing failures, preparing QA reports, and driving corrective and preventive actions, with emphasis on Kaizen and 5S in a warehouse environment. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

  • ISO Auditor certification or experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
  • English as primary or secondary language.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with maintenance of the Quality System.
  • Assist Quality Manager & Supervisor in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system.
  • Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure transfer to Production of new products is in accordance with approved data.
  • Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure compliance with the quality management system.
  • Analyze failure, corrective and preventive actions to respond to customer complaints.
  • Create and maintain quality documentation (manuals, procedures).
  • Continuously improve QA receiving inspection processes and procedures.
  • Resolve supplier failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare QA weekly, monthly, quarterly reports.
  • Lead continual improvement activities (5S, Kaizen lean).
  • Develop training to build quality awareness.
  • Conduct audits and close out findings with corrective actions.
  • Plan and manage receiving/outgoing quality functions.
  • Manage supplier performance and audit suppliers.

Engineer - Quality Q

Summary

A Quality Engineer provides statistical information for quality improvement by identifying testing methods and samples.

Position Description/General responsibilities include:
  • Assist with maintenance of the Quality System.
  • Assist Quality Manager & Supervisor in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system.
  • Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure transfer to Production of new products is in accordance with approved data.
  • Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
  • Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to internal/external customer complaints.
  • Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc.
  • Continuously improving QA receiving inspection process and procedures.
  • Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions and preventive actions.
  • Preparation of QA weekly, monthly, quarterly reports.
  • Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen lean methods, etc.
  • Develop training to build quality awareness.
  • Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determining proper corrective and preventive actions.
  • Responsible for planning, organizing and managing the overall activities of receiving / outgoing quality functions.
  • Manage suppliers performance and conduct audits.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
Job Requirements:
  • ISO Auditor.
  • Mid-Level Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Computer knowledge, functionality, technical interaction of sub-assemblies.
  • English as either primary or secondary language.
  • College Education: Bachelors Degree preferred.

Working Condition

Must be able to tolerate moderate to high noise levels in a warehouse environment. Office and outside environmental conditions are found in the warehouse, hot in the summer, cold in the winter. Individuals may need to walk for an extensive period while working and walking the facilities; to reach over shoulder heights; bend or stoop below the waist; repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement; occasional lifting up to 30 pounds.
