Job summary

Employee Magnets, Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to provide statistical information for quality improvement by identifying testing methods and samples.

The role emphasizes working with Engineering and Operations to ensure smooth transfer to production of new products in line with approved data. You will assist with maintaining the Quality System, support inspectors, analyze corrective actions, and contribute to continual improvement activities, including 5S and Kaizen.

Qualifications

• ISO Auditor certification or experience.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• English fluency required (oral and written).
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance of the Quality System.
• Assist Quality Manager & Supervisor in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system.
• Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure transfer to Production of new products is in accordance with approved data.
• Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure products and processes comply with the QA system.
• Analyze failure, corrective and preventive actions to respond to internal/external customer complaints.
• Create and maintain quality documentation such as quality manuals and procedures.
• Continuously improving QA receiving inspection process and procedures.
• Plan, organize and manage the overall activities of receiving/outgoing quality functions.
• Manage suppliers' performance and conduct audits.

Summary

A Quality Engineer provides statistical information for quality improvement by identifying testing methods and samples.

Position Description/General responsibilities include:

• Assist with maintenance of the Quality System.
• Assist Quality Manager & Supervisor in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system.
• Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure transfer to Production of new products is in accordance with approved data.
• Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
• Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to internal/external customer complaints.
• Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc.
• Continuously improving QA receiving inspection process and procedures.
• Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions and preventive actions.
• Preparation of QA weekly, monthly, quarterly reports.
• Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen lean methods, etc.
• Develop training to build quality awareness.
• Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determining proper corrective and preventive actions.
• Responsible for planning, organizing and managing the overall activities of receiving / outgoing quality functions.
• Manage suppliers performance and conduct audits.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Job Requirements

• ISO Auditor.
• Mid-Level Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Computer knowledge, functionality, technical interaction of sub-assemblies.
• English as either primary or secondary language.
• College Education: Bachelors Degree preferred.

Working Condition

Must be able to tolerate moderate to high noise levels in a warehouse environment. Office and outside environmental conditions are found in the warehouse, hot in the summer, cold in the winter. Individuals may need to walk for an extensive period while working and walking the facilities; to reach over shoulder heights; bend or stoop below the waist; repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement; occasional lifting up to 30 pounds.
