SEPTA, the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, seeks a Project Manager (Quality) to lead the Quality Management System for its EM&C division in the Philadelphia area.

The role administers QA/QC processes, aligns design and construction with standards, and supervises Quality staff. A BS in engineering/architecture/construction management plus eight years of experience are required, with a PA license benefiting the position.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible engineering/architectural experience in design and/or construction.
• Valid Driver License required.
• Ability to navigate railroad and transit construction sites, including climbing, lifting, and walking on uneven surfaces.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsabilités

• Administers, monitors, and oversees the implementation of SEPTA’s Quality Management System for the EM&C Division.
• Coordinates with Project Managers, Department Managers and other Division leaders in the QMS development and implementation.
• Participates in policy and standards related to design and construction quality.
• Supervises Quality staff, including Engineer, Quality Auditor, and Site Inspector positions.
• Serves as the primary QA resource to EM&C leadership for quality issue identification and improvement.
• Supports Quality efforts with System Safety Division initiatives including safety assurance and certification.
• Reviews and accepts Quality Management Plans from relevant departments and contractors.
• Creates checklists and schedules to aid the quality process.
• Directs design package reviews for compliance with SEPTA standards and contract documents.
• Leads site assessments to identify needs for compliance and improvement.
• Directs QC audits for design and construction projects.
• Develops quality training materials and procedures for technical staff.
