Job summary

Solve Industrial Motion Group is seeking a Quality Production Specialist to support the quality production process for specified products. You will interpret basic blueprints, utilize measuring tools, and perform grinding, greasing, assembly, and painting to meet amendments and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical aptitude, high attention to detail, and 2+ years of fitting/parts handling experience, with knowledge of Imperial and Metric measurements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of related fitting and parts handling experience.
• Basic understanding of Imperial and Metric measurements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production quality is maintained in accordance with customer drawings and specifications.
• Interpret documentation for production of products and work on standard products through various metal processing methods.
• Utilize Imperial and Metric measurement systems to meet specifications as directed by Quality.
• Daily use of basic hand and power tools in rework processes.
• Communicate quality issues or trends to the Quality Supervisor.
• Follow ISO procedures and work instructions.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, the Quality Production Specialist supports the overall quality production process for specified Solve products. They will be following documentation and instruction from the Quality Department. The ideal candidate will utilize their mechanical aptitude, coupled with their high attention to detail to interpret basic blueprints and drawings. The Quality Production Specialist will be responsible for grinding, greasing, assembling and painting products to satisfy the requested product amendments. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of mechanical principles in their daily operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure production quality is maintained in accordance with customer drawings and specifications
• Interpret associated documentation for production of products and work on standard products through various metal processing methods
• Utilize the Imperial and Metric Measurement systems to ensure product meets the specifications listed from the direction of the Quality Department
• Daily use of basic hand and power tools in the rework process
• Communicate with the Quality Supervisor about possible quality issues, and/or trends
• Comply with various ISO operating procedures and work instructions

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma, or equivalent
• 2+ years related fitting and parts handling experience
• Basic understanding of Imperial and Metric measurements
• Ability to lift/push/pull 50 lbs.
• Ability to use basic hand tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working in the bearings or power transmission industry
• Machining experience
• Material processing experience
