Job summary

Tyson Foods in Kansas City is hiring a Product Inspector to conduct ready-to-eat quality checks and ensure packaging and labeling meet USDA standards. The role requires experience with machine or packer operations and the ability to perform physical lifting.

Work is on 1st shift in a high-volume facility; candidates must have recent production experience and be able to document checks and measurements throughout each production run.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 months of machine or packer operator experience.
• Minimum of 6 months of continuous work in the last 3 years.
• Must be willing and able to perform physical lifting (min 25 lbs) and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform ready-to-eat quality checks to ensure high-quality lunch meat.
• Monitor packaging accuracy and label compliance against USDA standards.
• Document measurements and checks hourly and at production events.
• Operate vision system cameras and metal detection checks.
• Identify material quality defects and take action.
