Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. in Kansas City is hiring Machine Operators for 3rd shift. You will operate machinery to keep product flowing and ensure correct ingredients on the line. The job requires prior machine or packer operator experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

You will monitor and adjust settings, report maintenance needs, and help maintain a clean, safe workspace. forklift operation, MES system usage, and basic sanitation tasks are part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months of machine or packer operator experience.
• Minimum 6 months of continuous work in the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery to ensure continuous flow of product and correct ingredients on the line.
• Monitor and adjust machine settings as needed.
• Notify supervisor if machines require maintenance.
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to Tyson policies and procedures.
• Operate raw machine operator combining various meat and raw ingredients to formulate stuff and deliver the product to logs to the cooking system.
• Basic lubrication, inspection adjustments, repairs, cleaning (CLAIRLEAN Manufacturing), sanitation, and contributing to a continuous improvement environment.
• Contribute to a safe and organized work environment by maintaining a clean and orderly workspace.
• Operate forklifts and identify and act upon system-based error messages.
• Resolve jams and equipment malfunctions.
• Open and close work orders in the MES system and monitor, interpreting, and resolving system alerts.
