This opportunity is in Woodburn, Indiana, at our BF Goodrich tire plant. Woodburn is a small town located about 30 minutes east of Fort Wayne, IN. Fort Wayne is the cultural and economic center of northeastern Indiana and the second-largest city in Indiana. Established in 1961, our plant manufactures passenger and light truck tires.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Michelin has an immediate opening for a Quality Process Technician who will be responsible for leading and optimizing their designated manufacturing process within our facility. WHAT WILL YOU DO

  1. Ensure product and process quality by monitoring performance/testing, executing diagnostic tests, establishing standards, and confirming adherence to standards.
  2. Apply hands-on technical troubleshooting skills to existing processes with quality issues.
  3. Lead root cause analysis in problem-solving and deviations from standards.
  4. Follow up on process capability and participate in ensuring permanent improvements.
  5. Mentor production operators and team members to improve application of manufacturing standards and responses to deviations.
  6. Meet quality and productivity targets using the "Right the first time" principles.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, engineering, project, or related technical fields is a plus. This can include internships, co-ops, military service, or similar programs.
  • Ability to interact professionally with suppliers, customers, and colleagues.
  • Experience working collaboratively to meet common objectives.
  • Attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Effective problem-solving skills to analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and familiarity with or ability to learn other software such as MicroStrategy and PowerBi.
  • A data-driven mindset.
