Job summary

BiOrigin Specialty Products seeks a Quality Manager for our Gouverneur, NY paper mill. You will lead quality programs to optimize manufacturing processes, improve product quality, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

You will oversee GMP, CAPA, testing, audits, and documentation, develop SOPs, train operations staff, and partner with cross-functional teams to reduce waste and costs while delivering consistent product performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• 1–3 years in continuous manufacturing/industrial production.
• Strong data analysis and Excel skills.
• Experience with PARCview and JD Edwards preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement and process optimization to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
• Identify opportunities via collaboration with operations, maintenance, management, customers, and best practices.
• Plan and execute process trials with objectives, costs, risks, and implementation strategies.
• Troubleshoot issues using data analysis and root cause methods to implement corrective actions.
• Reduce waste, rework, downtime, and variability through standardization and training.
• Maintain and optimize process centerlines for consistent performance.
• Monitor metrics to identify trends and preventive actions.
• Optimize recipes and operating parameters for efficiency and quality.
• Support capital and non-capital improvement projects.
