Job summary

Gaco is seeking a Quality Manager to lead QA/QC for a manufacturing facility producing commercial roofing adhesives and sealants. You will drive quality improvements, manage the lab team, and ensure compliance with internal specs and industry standards.

Responsibilities include overseeing testing, implementing QMS, leading CAPAs and audits, and partnering with production to boost process capability and FPY. A data-driven, safety-conscious leader thrives in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field is required.
• Extensive experience in quality or lab management within chemical manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and people-development capabilities.
• Hands-on with SPC, process improvement and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA and QC activities including laboratory and in-process quality control.
• Directly manage and develop laboratory technicians and staff.
• Oversee raw material and finished product testing (viscosity, adhesion, cure).
• Implement Quality Management Systems aligned with ISO 9001 and customer specs.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce variation and improve FPY.
• Collaborate with production to improve Cpk/Ppk in manufacturing and packaging.
