Job summary

Elevate is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead the quality laboratory team and oversee material verification for asphalt modified bitumen roofing and waterproofing membranes. You will drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance with ASTM standards, and partner with operations to optimize processes.

The role requires a BS in a relevant field, 5+ years in quality, and proficiency with SPC (Minitab), ISO 9001, and ASTM methods. This is an on-site opportunity with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience in Quality.
• Proficiency in SPC software (Minitab), ISO 9001 quality systems and ASTM testing methods.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise the Lab Supervisor and Quality Technicians; manage lab staffing and priorities.
• Oversee testing of raw materials and finished Mod Bit products.
• Monitor process parameters using SPC to reduce variation and scrap.
• Ensure product compliance with ASTM, UL, and building codes.
• Lead 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone investigations; implement CAPA.
• Oversee lab equipment calibration and gauge R&R studies.
• Collaborate with operations, process engineering and R&D for NPD and process optimization.
