Job summary

Adventist Health is seeking a senior leader to oversee daily operations of quality, patient safety, and performance improvement programs. You will supervise Quality/PI and patient safety staff, aligning local activities with system priorities and supporting regulatory readiness.

The role requires a healthcare leadership background with experience in quality and safety initiatives, and a clinical background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Care Admin, Nursing, Public Health or related field or equivalent combination of education/related experience.
• Three years of healthcare or related experience.
• Two years in quality, patient safety or performance improvement.
• Two years of leadership experience in acute care or healthcare setting.
• Clinical background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of quality, patient safety, and performance improvement programs.
• Supervises Quality/PI and patient safety staff, providing feedback and coaching.
• Ensures alignment of local activities with system priorities.
• Supports patient safety initiatives, including root cause analyses and corrective action follow-up.
• Oversees event reporting and learning systems; promotes a culture of safety.
• Assists regulatory team in maintaining readiness for Joint Commission, CMS, CDPH and other surveys.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or related field or equivalent combination of education/related experience

Three years' of healthcare or related experience

Two years' in quality, patient safety, or performance improvement

Two years' leadership experience in acute care or other healthcare setting

Clinical background

Lean or Six Sigma certification
