Job summary

You will oversee programs that prevent harm, promote high reliability, and drive measurable outcomes across the system in partnership with executives, physicians, and clinical staff.

This role leads the Patient Safety Plan and related initiatives, supervising data systems and analytics to report quality outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Seven years of health care or related experience.
  • Five years of leadership experience in quality, patient safety, performance improvement, or healthcare administration.
  • Clinical background.
  • CPHQ/CPPS/Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required within two years of hire.
  • CPHQ/CPPS/Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with executive leaders and the Board to establish strategic priorities for quality, safety, and performance improvement.
  • Provide expert consultation on quality systems, patient safety practices, and national performance standards.
  • Lead deployment of the Patient Safety Plan and related programs; oversee reporting systems and root cause analysis.
  • Foster a culture of safety with action plans and health equity initiatives.
  • Develop and monitor safety goals and metrics, aiming for zero preventable harm.
  • Provide leadership for QAPI and organization-wide performance improvement initiatives.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop Quality and Patient Safety staff.
  • Partner with System Quality and Patient Safety to oversee data systems for quality and outcomes.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
